The 2015 annual dinner will be held on Friday 23rd January (7pm for 7:30pm) at Eton College. The dress code is black tie. The dinner will
be immediately preceded by the Annual General Meeting at 6pm to which all OEMS
members are invited. Formal invitations have been sent out to OEMS members. If you are an OEMS member and have not received an invitation, please do get in touch. We are delighted that Dr Andrew Gailey (Vice-Provost of Eton College) will be joining us as guest of honour.
The 2014 annual dinner will be held on Friday 31st January (7:30pm for 8pm) at the Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London. The dress code is black tie. The dinner will be immediately preceded by the Annual General Meeting to which all OEMS members are invited.
The Tripartite Dinner celebrates ongoing collaborations between the Old Etonian Medical Society and its partner organisations at Winchester College and Harrow School. This year, we are privileged to host Professor Sir John Gurdon OE as our guest of honour. The event will be taking place on Friday 18th October 2013 in Eton College.
Professor Gurdon received a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2012 for his pioneering work in cellular biology leading to the de-differentiation of mature cells to become pluripotent. He will give a short lecture on the work leading to this prestigious award prior to the dinner.

This year the OEMS has awarded its first elective bursary in order to provide support to medical students undertaking medical and research placements as part of their medical elective programmes. We are delighted that Dhaneesha Senaratne (KS '07), who has received an award for his medical elective to Nepal, has kindly agreed to give a presentation about his experience at the AGM.
The guest speaker after dinner will be Professor Rifat Atun who is a leading expert in the field of Global Health at Imperial College London. Rifat founded and leads the Centre for Health Management: a multidisciplinary research group undertaking international and UK based research exploring how contextual and health systems factors influence the adoption and diffusion of innovations (for example communicable disease control programmes, primary healthcare reforms and new healthcare technologies). We are honoured that Rifat has kindly agreed to speak at our dinner and are very much looking forward to his speech on The Future of Global Health.
The 2012 Tripartite Medical Societies Dinner will be hosted by the Old Harrovian Medical Society (OHMS) on Friday 26th October (7:15pm for 8pm) in the Shepherd Churchill Room at Harrow School.
The guest speaker will be Sir Richard Thompson KVCO DM FRCP, President of the Royal College of Physicians. The dress for the evening will be black tie.
